When browsing our new collection, we don’t hope to hear you say “This is something I would have never expected from SUNNEI”, we rather wish you can find in each item those features leading you to think “This is undoubtedly SUNNEI”.
Newness can be reached starting from what is already there, which is why every SUNNEI new collection is conceived as an upgrade on the previous one. You should look at it and feel the comforting sensation that SUNNEI is never-changing and never the same at the same time. The SS24 collection includes many shapes and volumes you already know but in their most-optimized expression till now. New techniques, details, prints, and fabrics make a difference in the pursuit of presenting to our clients a constantly-implemented SUNNEI. Accessories count additional styles including some designed to be everyday essentials and others more experimental for the times when our client feels like wearing something special.

RTW
Starting from SUNNEI’s most iconic styles, our design team’s work consisted in getting to their essence by removing every unnecessary feature and focusing just on those contributing to giving the SUNNEI touch.
Increased attention to detail can be detected in our new branding and tags which are different depending on the category of product. Volumes go from very tight to extra-oversize. The SS24 selection of jersey-stretch items belongs to the first group, including different shapes of jersey-stretch tops with cutouts conceived to be worn one over the other. On the other extreme, there are exceptionally voluminous shirts that together with four-pocket jackets and blazers correspond to the three types of tops that can be paired with same-color pants for our version of a “formal” full look. Fringed tops, skirts and knit pieces are this season’s playful elements.

PRINTS / The spiral is one of the two most important graphics of the collection, while CUORE DI PIETRA is the other one. For the latter, the idea was that of taking an old-school pop element, which is to say a heart with an arrow and making it SUNNEI by playing with words, the result is a“stone heart”. Both shapes are featured on ready-to-wear and accessories.

KNITWEAR / The SS24 knitwear assortment includes items in solid knit for some perfect-basics, ribbed sheer cotton for some pastel-colored see-through pieces and the freshly introduced crispy wool for items to wear all year round.

TECHNIQUES / A selection of azure and ecru items in canvas features a scratched-like print giving them a textured effect.
Whereas coated denim is how we got some of the most eclectic pieces of the season. With this treatment, a simple pair of denim pants become something totally different while their original structure can still be detected where the coating cracks.

FOOTWEAR
The material and color combinations that can work with Dreamy Shoes are potentially endless, which is why we are able to propose new iterations every season, like some sort of collectible pieces.
Some additions come from revising other iconic styles, such as the new low-top version of Isi Shoes and the first 1000CHIODI Mules.
Experimentations with materials led to the introduction of the Cuoio family (including one Mary Jane and one Stringata style, both of them for men and women) and a selection of knitted shoes (such as one flat and one heel version of 1000CHIODI shoes.
Aside from offering one of our richest color palettes ever, the SS24 footwear collection is characterized by spiral elements which were featured in special iterations of Isi Shoes and 1000CHIODI Mules.

BAGS
Bags and small accessories are where we tend to leave more room for SUNNEI’s playfulness. This is reflected both in this season’s color palette and new designs. For example, some unique iterations of Twisted Labauletto and Crossed-zipped Lacubetto Bags feature braided shoulder straps, resulting from interlacing shoe laces with leather strips and rubber bands. These bags together with other simpler not-braided variants feature two brand-new materials which is to say Cordura nylon and leather with an almond-touch effect. The Gomma Bags family gets enriched with a new shoulder bag named GOMMA9, which - like every other Gomma Bag - is made of rubber bands, nine in this case.

SMALL ACCESSORIES / Our approach to smaller accessories is based on the idea that they should be functional items that can be hooked to any other bigger-sized item: from trouser loops to bags or jackets. What seems just like a pinwheel keyring is actually an AirPods holder. The real keyring is the CUORE DI PIETRA, whose texture reminds that of stones and a hand-shaped keyring with whom one can play by closing its fingers for a “fuck you” gesture or a “peace” symbol.

JEWELRY
CUORE DI PIETRA is the real protagonist of the SS24 jewel collection. This season’s earrings don’t just look like hearts carved into stones: texture and weight have also been developed to suggest those of rocks.
It takes a brain effort to acknowledge that they are actually in brass. Even their colors and veins have been chosen to remind those of some specific gems: rose onyx, green jade, blue lapis lazuli and grey rock of course.

SUNGLASSES
SUNNEI’s sunglasses are called PROTOTIPO and this season marks the introduction of the PROTOTIPO 6. The peculiarity of this new style is that it features a double lens because its frame is made in the same see-through material used for its lenses. An iteration with yellow-striped frames gives a graphical twist to these sunglasses.
The PROTOTIPO 5.2 are an evolution from our classic PROTOTIPO 5 with two lenses instead of the PROTOTIPO 5’s single one.
In this SS24 collection, we also have the comeback of our PROTOTIPO 1 sunglasses in their original color variations and some new ones.
